Attorney Imogene L. Cathey acts as general counsel for Seton Hill University, where she has worked since 2015. In this position she provides oversight in all legal areas impacting the institution, including personnel and employment issues, student affairs, non-discrimination, and gifts and development. Imogene L. Cathey also maintains responsibility for the development of compliance-related training for the university and for the development of policies. Imogene Cathey previously functioned in various capacities in the office of general counsel for large public institutions in both Florida and North Carolina. 

Cathey attended the University of Florida Levin College of Law and graduated with honors. During her time in law school, she functioned as footnote editor for the Journal of Law and Public Policy and belonged to both the Phi Delta Phi International Legal Fraternity and the Black Law Student’s Association. She has been admitted to the bar in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Florida, and the District of Columbia.
